Startups Updates: Greenfly at LeadersWeek, Slate shared TikTok SEO tips, Move visits Paris, and more…

Looking to explore what happened with startups we are working with? You are at the right place!

Every month, we deep dive into their last activities, from new partnerships to product updates, new materials or client announcements. September has been another exciting month for each of these startups, and the end of the year promises to be even more enjoyable.

Challenge your fans with LiveLike Engagement tools

Engaging your audience with LiveLike has never been easier. Their extensive suite of interactive features makes users feel empowered and more likely to engage with any of your content. Recently, the LiveLike team has been on the road to showcase their product at different summits. At IBC, they showcased their new demo environment from their partnership with Amazon Captivate.

As part of the AWS Partner Network (APN), LiveLike solutions can now be easily layered with Amazon Interactive Video Services (Amazon IVS), providing customers with more options to build and interact with audiences via live video.

Requirements:

  1. A LiveLike account

  2. A LikeLike application that can be created through the LiveLike Producer Suite

  3. A LiveLike Client ID

  4. An AWS account to use AWS IVS

  5. A stream URL to load videos

Check out the full steps below to integrate LiveLike SDK with Amazon IVS, as part of your interactive application.

“Fan engagement efforts need to be constant in order to reach users despite their fragmented time and cross-device content consumption. It can be an intimidating challenge, but it’s also an opportunity for companies to build long-standing relationships with their fans and learn enough about them to keep them coming back for more.” A very relevant statement that the company shares and explores in its latest PlayBooks - Boosting Fan Engagement & First-Party Data. If you want to engage your communities, you are in the right article; a PlayBooks to be read without moderation.

The new paradigm for sports rights holders with Greenfly

When it comes to sharing insightful analysis and thoughts on content management and distribution, Greenfly is always under the spotlight. On Wednesday, 28 September, Greenfly President and CEO Daniel Kirschner will chat with Phil Williams from UEFA and Sebastien Audoux from Canal+ at LeadersWeek in London during the panel: “The Digital Side of Broadcast: How Rights Holders are Delivering More Value with Short-Form Media”.

The Masterclass will explore how broadcasters see digital content, how that helps the rights holder, and what types of digital content broadcasters are looking for. They will also share concrete examples of setting up game day workflow to deliver real-time short-form content. If you are as eager as we are to hear their discussion, you can dip into an excellent paper they have written on this topic.

Slate shared four winning TikTok SEO tips

When it comes to search engine optimisation (SEO), Google is often one of the first things we think of. The Goliath of the internet has long been the go-to source of information and answers for users around the globe. But Slate reminds us that it has become essential for social media managers to incorporate an SEO TikTok strategy to increase the discoverability of your brand’s content and get it in front of your target market.

Considering that now TikTok user accounts are searchable via Google with indexing and site backlinks making them visible, Slate identified a few best practices that will become second nature over time, to help social media managers to optimise their content:

Slate’s Social Media pick-up of the month

Dozens of sports organisations and brands are creating branded social media content using the Slate platform. Each month, the startups is highlighting them. This month, focus on the NFL, getting ‘Reel’ in Instagram and VMA’s @ Prudential Center

Move visits Paris to meet with sports & entertainment companies

A first since we started working together, and certainly not the last. Niall Hendry and John Grabowski travelled to Paris from London to meet with us and make live demos with some right-holders. We have had very interesting discussions about their technology and how it could be applied in existing ecosystems. Some projects might already be underway, and hopefully, we will be able to tell more in the coming months.

By the way, Move’s team used this trip to shoot motion capture on iPhones during sunrise in front of the Tour Eiffel. Such production represents only 5 minutes of set-up, 60-second calibration, and no suits, as shown in the video below.

There you go; you are now up-to-date with LiveLike, Greenfly, Slate, and Move's latest activities; stay tuned for their next move in Europe.

On our side, on next 28th and 29th of September, our team will attend the WFS in Sevilla. JB will be on stage to discuss the following topic: “Convenient Access & Distribution: What Gen Z wants”, and David will moderate a private workshop session about integrating new technologies and developing new innovative initiatives. It will also be the time to celebrate the Best SportTech Startup Award winner! If you are there, let us know, we are looking forward to meeting people from the industry again.
