What is Slate ? Immerse yourself in the world of Social Media and content creation

As the social media landscape grew increasingly complex and challenging to navigate with more platforms, accounts and content formats, it became more and more complicated for some brands and companies to quickly create high-quality and valuable content. Today there is no better place than social medias to develop brand awareness and digital consistency. Companies interact with their fanbase trough these social platforms and spend more time to provide them with the content they want. Based on these facts, Slate recognized the need for a content creation platform so organizations will be able to create high-quality and on-brand content quicker. What is Slate, what are they doing ? If you have to empower your content creation workflow on social media, you definitely need to use Slate’s platform.

Slate is a turnkey solution for organizations to seamlessly integrate branded & sponsored assets into social media content, and optimize content for any social platform. Slate’s team is composed of marketing & social media professionals that have worked at the 49ers, Chiefs, and NFL. The idea to create Slate really came from a problem that was recurring for sport organisations. While Eric was experiencing this issue first hand while overseeing digital for NFL International, Michael, Will and Yury were speaking to companies about creating branded content while working on a different product and heard this pain point over and over. They finally joined their forces to solve this problem and build the company one year ago. Slate launched their platform in June 2019, after repurposing previously built content creation software for the consumer market. In only one year they’ve been able to work with teams across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, EPL and more, even used during some of the biggest events in sports such as Super Bowl LIV.

Slate’s platform is fully customizable for enterprise social media teams. It’s challenging for social teams to create on brand content because existing content creation tools include off-brand creative elements. They include stock fonts, graphics, overlays, colors, and more that might be helpful to an individual, but are irrelevant to a brand. Slate simplifies the content creation process by allowing the enterprise social media to control their creation experience, ensuring they only have on brand creative elements at their fingertips.

Today, their main objective is to provide enterprise social media teams control when they create their social media content. As the social media landscape evolves at a rapid pace, social teams deserve their own tools to quickly adapt and keep pace with the demands of these platforms. By giving social teams a dedicated platform for their content creation they are able to save them tons of time, ensure their content is both as on brand & engaging as possible, and even open up their social content to being more monetizable.

Slates principally operates its activities in the sports, media & entertainment industry. On top of that, they really targets any brand that values brand consistency and wants to be able to create content quickly and painlessly. Slate is used by some of the biggest sport organisation in the US (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, EPL, MLS, NCAA) and was used to cover some huge sport events such as Super Bowl LIV, the Australian Open and NBA Finals.

All brands need the ability to stay ahead of the constant changes & demands of social media. At LaSource we see Slate becoming the go-to platform for all major brands to control their social media strategy and aesthetic, create content, and stay brand consistent. They have already branched out of sports to work with big brands in media, fashion, beauty and more. They’re just getting started!
