Building Influence Through Content: Welcoming Edouard Hermet
As LaSource continues to help sports organisations navigate growth, monetisation, and technology, we’re proud to welcome Edo as Content Strategist & Producer.
His arrival strengthens our ambition to build content systems that don’t just perform, but truly serve long-term strategy.
Let’s get to know Edo!
Welcome to LaSource, Edo! Here are a few questions for you to answer. Let’s start with what motivated you to join LaSource in the first place?
Edo: What drew me in was the ambition of the project and how clear-headed the approach is. LaSource supports rights holders on monetization, tech, and growth challenges, and content is a central lever in all of that. What motivates me is the opportunity to build an editorial vision that genuinely serves those business objectives, without the bullshit. And to do it alongside people who know their craft and will challenge me. I want to learn as much as I want to contribute.
What about LaSource’s culture or way of working stood out to you?
Edo: The fact that people don't work in silos. Content, tech, monetization, growth... everything is thought through in a connected way. I like the idea that we challenge each other, that we co-build. What interests me isn't just delivering content & content strategies, it's understanding how it articulates with everything else, and how we can structure systems that last. Working with brilliant people who force you to think better, that's what helps me grow.
Could you share a bit about your professional journey so far, and the experiences that have shaped where you are today?
Edo: My journey's been entrepreneurial and strategic from the start. I've built agencies, launched media platforms, and led creative teams across sports and content: always focused on how editorial vision shapes narratives that drive real outcomes: media pickup, fan engagement, partner value, monetization. I've had the chance to work at the intersection of content, business, and influence, which taught me how media functions as a strategic lever, not just output. I've made mistakes along the way, tested approaches that didn't land. But that's what sharpened my understanding of what works, and why. At LaSource, I'm excited to bring that strategic and editorial perspective to help rights holders unlock growth through content that doesn't just perform, but actually influences behavior and expands audiences.
How do you see yourself adding value to LaSource’s projects and team dynamic? What kind of environment helps you perform at your best?
Edo: My main focus will be structuring content factories, meaning systems where editorial vision, storytelling, and performance are aligned with growth and monetization goals. What really excites me is designing content strategies that don't just perform on social, but also feed into go-to-market and elevate the overall value of rights holders. I think there's still a lot to invent there.
What are you most looking forward to working on at LaSource, and what will be your main focus in your role?
Edo: I see content as an influence engine. Its role is to create narratives that travel, narratives that get picked up by media, embraced by fans, understood by partners. What I bring is the ability to connect editorial thinking with operational reality, and to turn content into a real strategic lever. That said, I perform best in environments where excellence is collective, where curiosity is valued, and where people inspire each other to push further. I need that to stay sharp.
And to finish on a lighter note: what’s your favorite hobby or sport, and who inspires you most in the sports field?
Edo: Photography's always been central for me. It shaped how I frame stories and observe details. Outside of work, I play squash, hike, work on side projects, and spend time with my son. In terms of inspiration, I'm drawn to visionaries — but honestly, the athletes I've worked with have probably shaped me the most. Their discipline, their quiet humility, the work ethic that stays invisible to the public... that's influenced how I approach both creation and leadership. It's a reminder that the best work often happens where no one's watching.
