Driving the Next Phase of Sports Tech Growth: Welcoming Windsor Roberts as VP of Sales

LaSource continues to grow, both through the clients and projects we support and through the good people joining our team.

We are proud to welcome Windsor Robers as our new VP of Sales for Sports & Media Tech.

His role brings together strategy and sales leadership, with a focus on supporting the growth of our tech partners across the European market. A key part of his work will be helping translate Fastbreak AI’s and LIGR Live's solutions into new commercial opportunities.

But now let’s get to know Windsor, not just from his professional side, but also a bit of the person behind the position!

Get to know the professional

- Welcome to LaSource! What motivated and inspired you to join our team?

- I have known the Senior Management Team for a number of years and, after a short period out of the industry, I was keen to get back into the Sports Tech space and what better way to do so than working with such a great team.

- Could you share a bit about your professional journey so far, and the experiences that have shaped where you are today?

- My professional career started after a misspent youth playing too much sport and not doing enough school work, but my first proper job was working for Nigel Wray in a publishing business in which I excelled at selling data to companies wanting to send direct mailing campaigns. I moved back up North, and I went to work for a Direct Marketing agency in Leeds, heading up their Media Division. After a significant stint, I left and set up my own DM Agency with a friend and following ten successful years, there were benefits to moving abroad, so I worked for another 3 years remotely, but after 13 years I felt it was time for something new! I then set up a plastic cup recycling business working with sporting events and festivals around the UK and Europe which I exited to help with the launch of a start up in the ‘push notification’ space! The business took time to gain traction and began working with leading federations and leagues globally, but was eventually closed in 2024. Since then, I've done a bit of consulting and taken some time off to be more present with my family.

- What are you most excited to work on here, and what will be your main focus or goal in your role?

- I’m hugely excited to be working with two specific clients (LIGR and Fastbreak) and believe that each business has unique functionality that I’m excited to be able to represent across Europe (and beyond).

  • Early morning training or late-night grind: I’m a night person.

  • One book/podcast you recommend: Book - “Polar Bear Pirates” by Adrian Webster and Podcast - It has to be LeCorner by LaSource!

  • If LaSource were a football team, what position would you play: I’d like to say striker but having seen the quality and competitiveness of our ‘youth’ at our recent team building event and taking my age into account, I’ll have to say water boy!
