Swiss Football League and LaSource expand partnership to build the future of Swiss ticketing
Paris, France and Bern, Switzerland — The Swiss Football League (SFL) and LaSource are expanding their collaboration with a new project focused on ticketing. The initiative is set to play a key role in the next phase of Swiss football’s digital transformation and aligns with the SFL’s Digital Vision 2027.
Having established solid foundations over the past few years, the league is now turning its attention to ticketing as the next logical lever to both deepen fan relationships and unlock new growth opportunities. A centralised approach to ticketing could play an essential role in growing the league’s and clubs’ known fan base while diversifying and increasing revenues for all stakeholders.
SFL and LaSource will focus on ticketing as the gateway to fans, data, and sustainable growth. Direct fan touchpoints, harmonised systems across clubs, and the ability to scale with richer insights will enable clubs to build more personalised experiences, and innovative models such as subscriptions and bundles.
Designed with clubs at the heart of the process, the project will ensure that requirements, vendor selection, and roadmap reflect the needs of all stakeholders. Together, the SFL and LaSource aim to create an ecosystem that empowers clubs, elevates the matchday experience for fans, and strengthens Swiss football’s long-term future.
Commenting on the partnership, Frank Schaffner, Chief Digital Officer at the Swiss Football League, said: “With Digital Vision 2027, our goal is to create long-term value for Swiss football by bringing fans and clubs closer together. Ticketing is a crucial step on this journey. By exploring centralised approaches, we aim to build stronger connections with our supporters, improve the matchday experience, and provide clubs with the tools they need to grow in a digital-first era.”
Leander Monbaliu, Chief Business Officer at LaSource, also commented:“Ticketing is more than access to a seat: it is the entry point to building meaningful fan relationships and new opportunities for growth. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with the SFL and its clubs, co-designing a unified ecosystem that will support engagement, and innovation across Swiss football.”
